Glossary
Glossary
- Data snapshot
- The immutable result of one successful landing. A refresh produces a new snapshot and the old one stays available.
- Semantic model
- A set of models, joins and views that can be analyzed together, along with the data snapshots they bind to.
- Dimension
- A member used for grouping, filtering, time granularity or drill-down, such as region, product or quarter.
- Measure
- An aggregatable calculated member, such as revenue or order count. Defined once, reused everywhere.
- View
- A set of business fields selected and renamed from a model. It is the only entry point for consumption.
- Row-level permission
- A permission table decides which rows each person can see, enforced uniformly in the semantic layer.
- Space
- The ownership and collaboration scope of a person or team. Every asset belongs to exactly one space.
- MCP
- A protocol that lets external AI clients call authorized models and queries in a uniform way.
